A fun read with an original setting and stellar cast of badass women!

Luz and Evan had great chemistry, and while I am normally not a fan of dual POV in romance, the author did a fantastic job keeping the plot moving while switching POV. Both Luz and Evan had intriguing storylines.

I loved the strong female characters and the way they supported each other. I loved how progressive Luz is and the way the book addressed topics including sexism, colonialism, and slavery within the historical context.
