This Saturday at WonderCon Anaheim, I attended the Funmakers Unite panel hosted by Mike Becker (founder of Funko) and Dave Bere.

During the panel, Becker introduced Funmaker Inc.’s Rokimoto brand and partnership with MINISO, sharing previews of the first five waves of collectible figures that will be available in stores. Wave 3 will be Astro Boy, Waves 4 will be Peanuts and Wave 5 will be Godzilla. Becker shared several animations featuring the Rokimoto characters, who will be voiced by talent including Tara Strong and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. The Rokimoto band was also introduced, with an announcement that the band will be performing at Anime Expo 2025.

Lastly, Becker announced an upcoming event “Dreams”, which will take place Saturday, July 26 at 8:00PM at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside, the same week as San Diego Comic-Con. Dreams will have a capacity of 650 attendees and costs $100 per person, plus fees.

Throughout the panel, attendees had the opportunity to obtain swag handed out by the Rokimoto band members. Each attendee also went home with a Rokimoto poster, sticker, and a blind bag Mina the penguin figure. Eight lucky panel attendees won free tickets to “Dreams” for themselves and a guest. Panel attendees were also provided with first access to purchase tickets for “Dreams”.

At this time, the website from the QR code provided to attendees indicates that the tickets that were available via the link are Sold Out. However, there was no information about how many tickets were allocated for panel attendees, so it’s possible that some tickets were reserved for a general sale.
