I was lucky enough to snag this limited edition Kpop Demon Hunters Cinnamon Toast Crunch box set last month and it’s finally here! Since this release was so limited, here are some photos and details for anyone who missed out.

This box set cost me $21.94 USD ($19.99 plus tax, free shipping) and each box was 12oz. There was supposed to be one release on February 4th at 9AM PST but the drop went live a few minutes early, meaning many people were able to purchase the product before the advertised start time.
I had been sitting on my computer waiting for the exact drop time, and when the clock hit 9:00AM I hit the refresh button—only to see the gray “Sold Out” button. At the time, I didn’t know the link had gone live early so I mistakenly thought the drop was late. With this in mind, I persistently refreshed the webpage and was able to purchase it about five minutes after 9AM.
Not everyone was so lucky.
A number of disgruntled fans took their complaints to the Cinnamon Toast Crunch’s social media comments, and eventually they responded. There would be a second drop, one they assured us would go live at the correct time. Unsurprisingly, this apology and second chance didn’t appease everyone.
I didn’t participate in the second drop (after all, this release was supposed to be limited to one set per person) so I’m not sure how that release went. It’s good that CTC took this issue seriously and tried to make up for it, but ultimately this should have been a wider release. I hope they reconsider this campaign to make these special flavors available to more fans.
The set was delivered in a branded box and I’m glad my mail carrier put this in a secure location so it didn’t get stolen! The outer box wasn’t very sturdy so unfortunately my Saja Boys box did get slightly crushed on one side.
Huntr/x “Hidden Flavor”
The “Hidden Flavor” is a tough one for me. Before tasting the cereal I theorized that the flavor could be honey, given the Golden theme, so I was surprised when that was very much not the case.
I discussed the flavor with my partner and we agree that it’s fruity, but we can’t decide on the exact flavor. I’m reminded of mango but my partner suggested passion fruit; either way, it’s an interesting flavor but not one that I’d purchase regularly.

Saja Boys “Secret Flavor”
This flavor was easy to guess—somehow, Cinnamon Toast Crunch managed to make this cereal taste exactly like soda. Very fun, and I love the photocard art on the back of the box!

Additional Details
These boxes were seriously glued shut. I tried the top and realized it wasn’t going to be easy getting them open, so I then tried the bottom which didn’t offer any benefit. (Maybe they expected that most people wouldn’t actually eat the cereal?)
In hindsight, maybe I should have tried a heat gun to soften the glue, but in the end I used a knife to tear open the top. It didn’t go well and I ripped the Saja Boys box, but eventually I got both open.
Honestly, the boxes were not exactly in pristine condition anyway and currently my plan is to cut up the boxes to save the front and back. For posterity, or possibly to frame and hang up on my rapidly growing KPop Demon Hunters tribute wall. Time will tell, and I’m open to suggestions!
