BOOK BLURB
Wren Wheeler has her whole life planned out, but her senior trip to London is completely derailed when she spends the entire time sick with the flu.
On her last day in the city, Wren is determined to check at least one thing off her list, but her breakfast plans are interrupted when she runs into Prince Theo.
After helping him escape a pack of tourists they part ways, but when Wren arrives to the airport she finds that all flights have been cancelled. The world is ending in eight days, thanks to an approaching comet.
Desperate to get home before then, Wren calls in her favor from the prince. They strike a bargain; Theo will help her get back to America if she helps him get to Santorini. But Prince Theo has a secret–one that could destroy both of their plans.
REVIEW
The apocalypse premise is already pretty wild, so I went into this expecting an over the top adventure and it delivered! Their road trip romp across Europe was so fun.
The story weaves in serious issues as well; Theo’s secret wrecked me, and of course the concept of possibly never seeing your family again before the world ends is a heavy topic. Still, it felt like a good balance of seriousness and end of the world fun.
Wren and Theo are both great characters, and I enjoyed seeing Wren (an obsessive planner) thrown into a situation where planning isn’t really possible anymore.
