REVIEW

Thank you Scarlett Press for the digital copy!

Daggermouth is an enemies-to-lovers dystopian romance, is multi-POV, and written in third person. This story lived up to the hype; it’s fast paced, violent and gritty, and offers a powerful message of resistance in the face of oppression.

New Found Haven is an examination of how people in power pit the lower classes against each other, and how the those who have the power to maintain the system have the power to dismantle it. The story doesn’t shy away from showing the dark and disturbing practices of this society, and there are graphic depictions of violence and heartbreaking moments. Readers can expect political intrigue, secrets and lies, betrayal, abuse, rape, and other heavy subjects. (This book does include content warnings so please review those before reading if you have concerns about whether this book is a good fit for you.)

The love triangle worked so well, and even though I did have a preference for Jameson I felt like Grayson is a real contender. I also loved the secondary romance between two of the supporting characters. There are multiple open door sex scenes, but at its core this story is more dystopian than romantic.

Daggermouth was an excellent read and I’ll definitely be picking up the next book!
