REVIEW

Thank you Delacorte Press for the digital copy of Twisted Vows: An Immortal Consequences Story by I.V. Marie! This is a young adult fantasy novella in the The Souls of Blackwood Academy Series, multi-POV and written in third person.

While this is a prequel novella, you should read this AFTER the main duology (Immortal Consequences and Ruinous Ends) otherwise it will spoil everything.

If you loved Wren and August and want to witness their first time meeting at Blackwood and the development of their rivalry, you’ll definitely want to pick up this novella!

The two are paired up for a class project that involves completing a series of challenges, causing both friction and understanding between them.

Is this novella necessary to read? Not particularly—while it fleshes out some things, it didn’t add anything essential that we didn’t already know from the first two books.

Still, with this novella sitting at just under 200 pages, it’s worth the read to decide for yourself.
