This past May, I signed up for a Lucas Museum of Narrative Art membership. There were four levels to choose from, each at a different price point: Access ($140), Social ($270), Insider (375), and Alliance ($600).

I opted for the Social level membership, which includes:

Although I initially received an email stating that membership packages would begin shipping in June 2026, that month came and went without receiving anything at all. I reached out to other members who confirmed that they hadn’t received anything either.

On August 27th, I received a follow-up email notifying me that membership packages would begin dropping the following week, and finally on September 19th I received mine!

I loved that the Social Membership package included physical membership cards, something that feels so rare nowadays.

A holographic sticker sheet and three individual stickers were included. The single stickers are glossy and feel like good quality.

I am a pin collector so I was very happy with these founding member commemorative pins!

The pin backing card says:

The orange line on your pin symbolizes the narrative thread connecting us through the stories that shape us, inspire us, and reveal what we share as human beings.

As a Founding Member, you will help tell the story of what comes next and will forever be connected to the museum’s beginning.

A tote bag made of a stiff canvas sort of material that says “STORIES CONNECT US”.

I love the variety of items included and feel that this package effectively established the fact that this isn’t a “Star Wars” museum, it is an art museum. And I love that!

I had the opportunity to visit the museum during Member Preview week and especially loved the Norman Rockwell section, the immersive gallery on the first floor, the fantasy/sci-fi gallery, the murals and street art, and of course the Star Wars exhibit. The massive windows overlooking Los Angeles and Exposition Park offered amazing views.

The exterior was still being worked on during preview week, so I’m hoping that by my next visit in October everything will be completed.

I’m excited about this museum and hope to take full advantage of my membership perks throughout the next year.
